On July 7, 2013, adopted brother Jamie reported his sister Erica missing to police. He had not seen her in 2 years. This took place in Salisbury, NC USA. He said their parents had abused and murdered her. There was a huge investigation with no resolve. The parents Casey and Sandy Parsons went to prison for fraud, for receiving money from the state for her. While in prison the father Sandy Parson told where her body was. They were both charged with murder and convicted in 2020. This case shook our community and still does. She is buried in the same cemetery as my family members. So, I visit her often.
