The case is solved, they caught the creep that did this, but he maintains innocence and refused to tell the family where her body is! This was a startling case from my home town and I still get sad when I think about it, she was so young, and Where is her Body????

It drives me crazy that he won't tell anyone where he put her body. I had many friends and family that joined the search for her. I was working in a local print shop at the time and we donated thousands of flyers to aid in the search. The phone kept intermittently turning itself on and off during a rain storm. The phone doing that is what led police to her belongings and more evidence nearby that field.
Her murderer also has a history of attempted kidnappings in the area. The case is close to me because it was local, but it is a fascinating case and even though he is behind bars, any pressure to get him to disclose where he left her body is helpful. This case is ten years old, but still haunts my home town.
